Chronicles of Crime is a cooperative game of crime investigation, mixing a virtual reality experience with board gaming. With the same physical components—board, locations, characters and items—players are able to engage in a variety of scenarios and solve numerous crime stories.
Players begin by launching the app, selecting the scenario they wish to play, and following the narrative. The objective is to catch the killer in the shortest time possible.
Utilising the Scan&Play technology, each component—such as locations, characters and items—has a unique QR code. Depending on the selected scenario, these codes activate different clues and storylines. This allows players to access new stories even after the game's release by simply downloading updates from the app, without needing to ship new physical components.
The VR experience requires only a mobile phone. Players can use the VR glasses provided within the game by attaching them to their mobile device. By placing the VR glasses on their nose and holding the mobile device in front of their eyes, players can immerse themselves in the game's universe and search for clues in a virtual world.
