So...Toy collaborations between existing major toy licences / themes have been pretty hit & miss over the past few years...IMHO the Turtles of Grayskull (TMNT x Masters of the Universe) were pretty cool but the Transformers x Masters of the Universe were a bit pricey & a bit hmm😒
But...if nothing else, the recent Toy collabs have proved to be divisive & pretty much 'love or hate' amongst Toy collectors - so I was a bit skeptical when I first heard about this collaboration between the two major 80's / 90's licenses - TMNT & G.I. Joe...
Good news though...this collaboration doesn't disappoint... these figures are awesome! From the classic G.I. Joe artwork - complete with the iconic Command File Cards on the back of the box, to the figures themselves - a lot of thought has gone into this line of Toys!
Being totally honest...I didn't want to like them,but they really are fantastic - whether they are being displayed in or out of their boxes - I really think Playmates have nailed it!
My personal faves are Shipwreck Mikey, Cobra Commander Shredder & Destro Krang..
The only question is though... is it Cowabunga? or Yo Joe! 😆
