We’re already big Tonies fans in our house, so we’re very excited about the newest addition to the Tonies family: the Toniebox Lite is coming soon!
The Toniebox Lite takes everything we love about Tonies and puts it into a smaller, more portable little box designed for listening wherever kids happen to be. It works with all the classic Tonies you may already have, has simple controls made for little hands, Bluetooth headphone connectivity and a sleep timer. It’s also small enough to pop into a backpack for holidays, sleepovers and adventures.
Why we love Tonies
Our 3-year-old, Walter, has a Toniebox 2 and it has genuinely become part of everyday life in our house. He listens while he plays, carries it into the kitchen while we’re making dinner and has completely mastered choosing his own Tonies, changing the volume and skipping straight to his favourite bits.
As a parent, one of the things I love most is that it gives him another way to enjoy stories without a screen. It doesn’t replace reading in our house at all. Instead, it works alongside it. Walter will sometimes grab the book that matches his Tonie and turn the pages as he listens, and I love seeing those characters and stories become part of his playtime too.
That’s why the Toniebox Lite immediately caught our attention.
Small box, big adventures
The Lite is designed for children aged one and up and keeps that lovely independence that makes Tonies so much fun. Kids can pop a character on top, squeeze the ears to change the volume and tap or tilt the box to move through their story or songs.
The My Story Set also comes with Rubie, a Creative Tonie with her own 25-minute story. You can keep Rubie’s story or customise her with up to 90 minutes of your own recordings, stories, songs and messages.
And if you’ve already started building a Tonie collection, the good news is you don’t have to start again. The Toniebox Lite works with classic Tonies, so all those favourite characters can come along too. The main difference to be aware of is that Tonieplay interactive games aren’t compatible with the Lite and require a Toniebox 2.
