About the Author
Katy Ashworth (Author) Katy Ashworth is a beloved presenter, performer, actor, and writer best known for her work on BBC's CBeebies, where she brought joy to millions of children and families. With a background in musical theatre, comedy, and devised performance, Katy's career spans television, theatre, and voiceover work, including roles in Justin's House, I Can Cook, and numerous radio and audiobook productions. She is also a jazz and soul vocalist, a public speaker, and the founder of The Play Project, which delivers creative art and play workshops to support children's mental health and well-being in schools and organisations. Alongside her creative work, Katy is training as a play therapist, deepening her commitment to using play and creativity to nurture children's emotional well-being. Now, with her debut children's picture book This That What (Penguin Random House), she brings her signature warmth and playfulness to storytelling. Inspired by over twenty years working with children, the book is a celebration of curiosity, creativity and embracing our individuality.
