Description

Spot's First Christmas by Eric Hill is a delightful celebration of the festive season through the eyes of the beloved character, Spot the dog. This endearing story captures the magic and excitement of Christmas as Spot eagerly helps his mum prepare for the big day.

As the snow falls gently outside, Spot is bustling with joy inside the house. He assists his mum with wrapping presents, decorating the Christmas tree, and even joins in the fun of carol singing. Each page offers young readers a charming glimpse into these heart-warming activities, teaching them the essence of Christmas traditions.

This beautifully illustrated book, part of the renowned lift-the-flap series, is designed to engage toddlers with its interactive elements. The sturdy, toddler-tough flaps are perfect for little hands, helping to develop fine motor skills while children uncover surprises hidden beneath.

The new edition of this classic tale brings a smart cased-board format, making it even more durable for young readers to enjoy over and over again. Eric Hill’s timeless illustrations and simple, engaging text combine to create a story that encourages curiosity and exploration, making it an ideal choice for early learning and play.

If your child enjoys Spot's adventures, there are plenty more stories to explore. Why not try:

  • Where's Spot?
  • Spot's Easter Surprise
  • Spot's Birthday Party
  • Spot Goes to the Farm
  • Spot Goes to School

Celebrate the joy of Christmas with Spot and share this magical story with the young children in your life.

About the Author

Eric Hill (1927-2014) was born in North London and lived there for many years. He started his artistic career as an art studio messenger and from there went on to become a cartoonist and eventually an art director at a leading advertising agency. In 1978 Eric made up a story about a small puppy to read to his son at bedtime and Spot was born. The success of his first bestselling lift-the-flap classic Where's Spot? in 1980 convinced him to become a full-time author, and his Spot books have been enjoyed by children around the world eversince. In 2008 he was awarded an OBE for services to children's literacy.
